There are plans for tens of thousands of generic homes available online, but finding unusual house plans can be extremely difficult. So one of our goals was to find homes that were not only unique, but that in some cases have an unusual floor plan and/or appearance.

What constitutes an unusual house design is hard to describe accurately in words, but we typically know it when we see it. Sometimes what makes a home unusual is its exterior shape; sometimes it’s the floor plan; and other times it’s the combination of materials that were used.

Bedrooms

We highly recommend that you click on two boxes – the number of bedrooms you know you need, and one less bedroom. For example, if you need 4 bedrooms, click on the boxes next to 4 and next to 3. Otherwise you will not see homes where existing rooms on the lower, main, or upper levels might work perfectly well as a bedroom instead of as an office, study, etc.
