Everyone Needs Help Before Buying House Plans

Now that we have launched our new and improved website, we thought it might be a good time to add a blog to help folks understand the process of buying house plans, and to answer their many questions before doing so.

We’ve been inviting visitors to our site to call us for a free consultation ever since we opened for business back in 2003. And they have definitely taken advantage of the offer. Over the years, as we fielded more and more questions, we kept expanding and refining the FAQs (https://architecturalhouseplans.com/faqs/) and Important Info (https://architecturalhouseplans.com/important-info/) sections of our site.

The goal of this blog is to help people make the best decisions before purchasing plans. Along with answers to most of the questions we’ve heard over the years, we’ll strive to make reading these blog posts interesting by including personal stories and anecdotes.

The process can seem daunting, but hundreds of thousands of shoppers have successfully purchased home plans and gone on to construct new homes. The idea here is to provide helpful hints – like how to get a good ballpark estimate of the cost to build – along with explanations of terms, in a how-to format.

We really hope that you enjoy the posts, and that they provide the help you need!

Bedrooms

We highly recommend that you click on two boxes – the number of bedrooms you know you need, and one less bedroom. For example, if you need 4 bedrooms, click on the boxes next to 4 and next to 3. Otherwise you will not see homes where existing rooms on the lower, main, or upper levels might work perfectly well as a bedroom instead of as an office, study, etc.
