House height
Traditionally, the overall height of a house is determined by measuring from the top of the finished floor on the main level, to the highest peak of the roof.

Ceiling heights Raising or lowering the height of the ceilings on one or more floors of a house is often a simple change that can be made by your builder. However, if you want to raise the ceiling of the main floor of a two-story home, there has to be room to add steps to the existing staircase. |

Main level | 10 |
Upper level | 9 |
Vaulted ceilings
We consider a room to be vaulted if the ceiling - whether flat, angled, or curved - is above 10 feet at its highest point. If you prefer that one or more rooms not be vaulted in your new home, this is a very simple change that your builder can make for you.

After entering into the foyer, a formal dining room is to the left, which is framed by posts. Straight ahead is an open gathering room, with a two–story open beam ceiling and a fireplace. Views to the rear terrace and beyond are seen through the rear windows and doors. A center island with an extended counter for eating separates the gathering room from the open kitchen. A breakfast nook has views to the rear terrace, and accesses a screened porch, creating additional spaces to dine and relax. From the kitchen, a small hall leads to a pantry, a laundry, a three–car garage, a full bath, and a study/guest room. To the right of the entry foyer is a master bedroom suite, which has a raised tray ceiling, and a door to the rear terrace. The master bath has a tub, a separate shower, a private toilet, and a huge walk–in closet.
After coming up the stairs, a large bonus/recreation room is to the right, and to the left is a bedroom suite, with a bay window, a large walk–in closet, and a private full bath. The balcony looks down to the gathering room below, and leads to two more bedrooms with a shared full bath.

Brief Description
Woodside is a beautifully crafted home, with both Tudor and Craftsman style details. A combination of stone, stucco, wood shingles, and wood trim finishes sit under steep roofs with decorative wood brackets. The gathering room in the middle of the house has a dramatic 2–story ceiling, a fireplace that can also be enjoyed from the kitchen, and views of and access to a wide terrace at the rear of the house. Next to the terrace there's a screened porch that can be accessed from both the sunny breakfast nook and a study/guest suite. The master suite is on the main level, and upstairs there are three more bedrooms and a large “bonus” room above the garage.
