House height
Traditionally, the overall height of a house is determined by measuring from the top of the finished floor on the main level, to the highest peak of the roof.

Ceiling heights Raising or lowering the height of the ceilings on one or more floors of a house is often a simple change that can be made by your builder. However, if you want to raise the ceiling of the main floor of a two-story home, there has to be room to add steps to the existing staircase. |

Vaulted ceilings
We consider a room to be vaulted if the ceiling - whether flat, angled, or curved - is above 10 feet at its highest point. If you prefer that one or more rooms not be vaulted in your new home, this is a very simple change that your builder can make for you.

Upon entering the foyer, a bench invites you to sit down to take off shoes and coats. A built–in niche gives the foyer a nice touch. The away room is to the right, and straight ahead is a hallway leading to a screened porch on the rear (view) side of the house. To the left of the foyer are the open kitchen and dining spaces. The kitchen is spaciously designed, with a large center island. An arched opening leads to the family room, which features a stone hearth. On the other side of the kitchen is a walk–in pantry, a half bath, a laundry room, and a mudroom with room for storage.
The upper floor has the master bedroom suite located under the slopes of the roof, which contains two skylights for lots of natural light. The master bath features both a shower and a tub, and a small staircase to a 360 square foot loft, which may be used as an office or for storage. There are also two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a computer room on this floor.
The basement plan holds a guest room, a recreation/TV room, a full bath, a workshop, and storage for wine. The semi–detached garage has a shop space attached, and a small space for wood storage. It has an upper level, providing a multi–use space or an additional room for storage.

Brief Description
Robson is truly a country home of grace, comfort and versatility. Its classic detailing and finishes are not only on the facade. A stone hearth, box beam ceilings, and wood casework are only a few of the elements that make this home timeless. It has an “away” room just off the foyer, as well as a screened porch at the rear on the right. The family room and the dining room also enjoy rear views, and there's a covered deck off the dining room for outdoor dining. The master suite is upstairs, along with two more bedrooms and a computer room.
