House height
Traditionally, the overall height of a house is determined by measuring from the top of the finished floor on the main level, to the highest peak of the roof.

Ceiling heights Raising or lowering the height of the ceilings on one or more floors of a house is often a simple change that can be made by your builder. However, if you want to raise the ceiling of the main floor of a two-story home, there has to be room to add steps to the existing staircase. |

Main level | 9 |
Upper level | 9 |
Vaulted ceilings
We consider a room to be vaulted if the ceiling - whether flat, angled, or curved - is above 10 feet at its highest point. If you prefer that one or more rooms not be vaulted in your new home, this is a very simple change that your builder can make for you.

The covered front porch opens up to a covered patio, which provides room for outdoor furniture and plants. After coming into the foyer, there is a living room to the right, with a bay window looking out to the front patio. To the left of the foyer are a stairwell, and a small hall that leads to a laundry room and a two–car garage. Straight ahead of the foyer is an impressive 9’–5″ wide gallery space that is two stories high. As you go through the gallery, you pass the dining room, a playroom/den, and a full bath. At the rear of the house is a spectacular two–story family room space, which has doors and views to the rear patio, and which is open to the kitchen. The spacious kitchen features a center work island, an eating counter, a breakfast nook with bay windows, and a door to the rear covered patio.
Upstairs, the hall is open to the gallery and family room spaces below. The left wing has two bedrooms and a full bath, while the right wing is devoted to the master bedroom suite. After entering the master bedroom, you enter a sitting area with windows and doors to a covered balcony. You pass two walk–in closets as you go towards the large master bath, which features a toilet room, a shower, a tub, and a door to a private covered balcony.
Please Note
The plans for this home call for reinforced concrete block exterior walls. If you plan to construct this house with any other exterior wall system, we highly recommend that you purchase the plans in electronic format.
